ABSTRACT
Quality control plays an important role in ensuring product quality, particularly for export-oriented manufacturing industries. This study aims to analyze the quality control mechanism implemented by PT. Putra Bali Rattan, which exports rattan handicraft products without having a formal Quality Control (QC) division. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings indicate that quality control is implemented throughout the production process, from raw material selection to final inspection. Product quality is maintained through three dominant factors: human resources, production methods, and raw materials. Senior craftsmen and the business owner play a central role through direct supervision and tacit knowledge transfer. These informal quality control practices enable the company to consistently meet export quality standards despite the absence of a formal QC division.
